John > This is Misty, 1973-1981. The Queen. Royalty and she knew it. She would sit in the corner away from us "riff raff" until she wanted something.

But a very dangerous open field runner. Lightning fast...a pure terror on her once a month she got out of the yard and nobody could catch her. She would toy with you, or five of you. I once spent three hours chaing her in Warinanco Park at night. Fortunately, her wolf like appearance scared off any menaces.

Strong? 35 pounds of muscle, she could pull like she weighed 100 pounds. In snow and ice, unstoppable.

This is what was meant by "taking the best athlete."

John > This is a 1976 photo of Misty, our pure bred female Siberian Husky. She was quite the pistol. Two blue eyes, coupled with a regal demeanor. She knew she was a princess, and we were all just servants in her court. 35 pounds of all muscle, she could tear you shoulder out of its limb if you were walking her in the snow. I can remember only too well chasing her for hours when she got free.

Shot with a manual meter, manual focus Ricoh SLR with a 50mm f2.0 lens.
